Pathway to Potential
As a regional strategy, Windsor City Council and the County of Essex Council approved the creation of a comprehensive 9-point plan called Pathway to Potential (P2P). The P2P plan is intended to focus on essential social investments in residents, neighbourhoods and the larger community. The plan builds on existing and new resources and supports initiatives led by the City of Windsor, County of Essex and community partners with a goal to make a difference in the lives of all residents.
Through this roadmap, P2P provides funding for programming to agencies across Windsor-Essex that support vulnerable youth and families; works with municipal departments to remove accessibility and financial barriers; and collaborates with community leaders toward a shared vision of community prosperity.
P2P Strategy Renewal
With assistance from the consulting firm, StrategyCorp Inc., Pathway to Potential (P2P) is undergoing a strategy renewal to update its 9-Point Social Investment Plan. The goals of the strategy renewal are to understand the needs of the Windsor-Essex community and identify P2P’s priorities for the next four years.
We would like to hear from residents regarding poverty issues within the Region, the challenges and barriers residents are facing, and how the City of Windsor and County of Essex can help through the Pathway to Potential framework.
Windsor-Essex residents are invited to provide their input by participating in one of the P2P Strategy Renewal Surveys. There are two survey streams:
Service Provider Survey - This is for individuals who volunteer and/or work within organizations that provide services to address poverty related issues and help reduce poverty within the Windsor-Essex region.
Community Survey - This is for individuals who have lived experiences, or have someone close to them with lived experiences, with regard to poverty.
The surveys will be open until Friday, October 6, 2023.
