Social Policy and Planning

The Social Policy & Planning Division of Human & Health Services conducts research and develops operational plans for Human & Health Services activities that align with strategic priorities as identified by City Council. The division identifies potential areas for collaboration between the different departments within Human & Health Services and the public with an overarching goal of enhancing service delivery. Social Policy & Planning leads or participates in community consultations with City of Windsor departments and community groups to address issues that impact Human & Health Services operations and people with lived experience.

Key projects include:

• Windsor Essex Local Immigration Partnership (WE LIP)
• Pathway to Potential (P2P): A poverty-reduction strategy for the Windsor-Essex region
• Windsor Essex Regional Community Safety & Well-Being Plan (WERCSWB Plan)
• Oral Health
