Throughout the summers of 2023 and 2024, Substance Supports in Neighbourhoods Accessed through Police Partnerships (SSNAPP) has been and will continue supporting the Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative (DWCC) Community Park Events. These events bring residents and local service providers together in the downtown core.

SSNAPP is a partnership between the Windsor Police Service (WPS), the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU), and the City of Windsor. SSNAPP aligns with the Windsor Essex Regional Community Safety and Well-Being Plan (the Plan) and supports ongoing efforts to address the far-reaching effects of the opioid and other substance crises across Windsor and Amherstburg.

SSNAPP aligns with Priority #3 of the Plan, “Mental Health & Substance-Use Supports.” These community engagement events align with Priority #2 of the Plan, “Engaged & Safe Communities.”
