City of Windsor Holiday Hours for Easter Weekend

City of Windsor administrative offices will be closed on Friday, April 3; and Monday, April 6, 2026, in observance of the Good Friday and Easter Monday holidays. The meeting of the Development & Heritage Standing Committee that would normally be held on Monday will instead be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at 350 City Hall Square West.

311 Customer Contact Centre

The 311 Customer Contact Centre's regular business hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, due to the holidays, the contact centre will be closed on Friday, April 3; and Monday, April 6, 2026.

To report municipal emergencies outside of business hours, such as fallen trees, significant roadway damage, or sewer backups, call 519-255-6326.

311 self-serve options continue to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, via 311 Online and the Windsor 311 mobile app.

211 Windsor-Essex

211 is available 24/7, providing information and referrals to social, community, health, and government services. 

Garbage and Recycling Collections

There will be no residential collection services on Friday, April 3, 2026. As a result, residential garbage, yard waste and recycling collection services in zones 4A and 4B only will be delayed by one (1) day. Please refer to your 2026–2027 Collection Calendar or the Recycle Coach App, or visit our Collection Schedule page. Night commercial, front end loader and weekly non-eligible source (NES) recycling collections are not delayed. Contact 311 for more information or visit our Waste and Recycling pages.

Please note: The 2026–2027 Collection Calendar takes effect April 1, 2026, and has been mailed out. If you have not received yours by April 7, 2026, please contact 311.

Public Drop-Off and Household Chemical Waste Depots

The depots located at the northeast corner of Central Avenue and North Service Road East will be closed on Friday, April 3; and Monday, April 6, 2026.

Parks and Recreation

Arenas, Community Centres and Customer Care Centres will be closed on Friday, April 3; and Sunday, April 5, 2026, except for pre-booked rentals or events. 

The WFCU Centre will be open Friday, April 3; and Sunday, April 5, 2026, for ice rentals from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will be offering free public skating on these days from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The WFCU Centre Pool will be closed on Friday, April 3; and Sunday, April 5, 2026. 

Central Registration and Booking will be closed Friday, April 3, through Monday, April 6, 2026. 

In accordance with the school calendar, the Afterschool Program will not run on Friday, April 3; and Monday, April 6, 2026.

The Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre (WIATC) Presented by WFCU Credit Union will be closed on Friday, April 3; and Sunday, April 5, 2026; and the facility will be open on Saturday, April 4; and Monday, April 6, 2026. Adventure Bay Family Water Park Presented by WFCU Credit Union will be open as follows: 

  • From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Good Friday, April 3; and on Saturday, April 4;
  • From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 5; and 
  • From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Easter Monday, April 6, 2026.

Homelessness and Housing Help Hub (H4)

Programming at 400 Wyandotte Street East (Windsor Water World) will be open regular hours, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including the four-day Easter weekend, to offer services for people experiencing homelessness. Call Intake at 519-567-8769 for more information.

Parking Enforcement

Municipal ticket payment offices will be closed on Friday, April 3; and Monday, April 6, 2026. Ticket payments may still be made online by visiting the E-Services tab at CityWindsor.ca. 

Windsor Public Library 

All branches of the Windsor Public Library (WPL) will be closed on Friday, April 3; Sunday, April 5; and Monday, April 6, 2026. But, Central, Riverside and Budimir branches will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (while all other WPL branches will be closed) on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Museum Windsor

The Chimczuk Museum is normally closed on Mondays and will also be closed on Friday, April 3, 2026. The Maison François Baby House is normally closed on Sundays and Mondays and will also be closed on Friday, April 3; and Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Transit Windsor

Transit Windsor buses are operating on the Sunday/holiday schedule on Good Friday, April 3; and Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026. Buses are operating on the regular schedule on Saturday, April 4; and Monday, April 6, 2026. The customer service office at 300 Chatham Street West will be open reduced hours of 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Good Friday, April 3; and will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, — regular hours apply on Saturday, April 4; and Monday, April 6, 2026.
