Designated Picnic Sites

Picnic table and garden in a riverfront parkWhether you’re hosting a birthday party, family reunion, or corporate gathering, the City of Windsor has a variety of designated picnic sites available to rent. These sites provide guaranteed space and access to picnic amenities, and are located in some of Windsor’s most scenic parks.

The following locations offer designated picnic areas that can be reserved in advance. Each site provides guaranteed space, access to picnic tables, and a welcoming environment for your gathering:

  • Mic Mac Park
  • Kimmy Lucier Park
  • Lanspeary Picnic Park
  • Jackson Park
  • Optimist/Memorial Park
  • Captain Wilson Park
  • Wigle Park
  • Ford Test Track

All other parks fall under Community Park Permits, which do not include a reserved or designated site.

Mic Mac Park

Mic Mac Park picnic siteLocated off Prince Road, Mic Mac Park is the most popular site for picnics and events. The park features six designated picnic sites, one of which includes a pavilion shelter. Sites #1 to #4 and #6 accommodate approximately 100 guests each. Site #5 provides additional space and can accommodate 150 to 200 guests. All sites include picnic tables and barbecues (please bring your own charcoal).

Jackson Park

Located on the west side of Ouellette Avenue, south of Tecumseh Road East, the Jackson Park picnic area is accessed via Victoria Avenue. The site can accommodate up to 50 people.

Lanspeary Park 

Lanspeary Park picnic areaLocated between Giles Boulevard and Ottawa Street on Langlois Avenue, Lanspeary Park is a great location for a quiet, family-friendly outing.
