Mark Park

When the Mark Avenue Sewage Treatment Plant was closed down in 1974, the Department of Parks and Recreation established Mark Avenue Park at the site. The original play equipment, seen in the street view image above, that was installed with the park development has been replace with a new accessible play area, including creative play structures, swings, and benches as can be seen in this more recent aerial photo.

Mark Park also provides a seating area along the Grand Marais Drain for the numerous pedestrians that use the sidewalk adjacent to the drain.
