When people in Windsor and Essex County experience homelessness or find themselves at risk for becoming homeless, the City of Windsor has services available to help find a safe place to stay, connect with community supports and find permanent housing.  More information is provided below.

Rent, Utilities and Other Housing Assistance

If you require financial assistance to obtain affordable housing or have housing but need help paying for the essentials in order to keep it, we have assistance programs that may be able to help.

Homelessness Initiatives

The City of Windsor is working to meet the needs of those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless through a wide range of programs. These initiatives are focused on better meeting people's needs, and reducing the number of people in our community experiencing homelessness.

This information sheet is designed to be used by businesses, residents, etc. to assist in determining who to contact if you encounter someone who may be experiencing homelessness.
