This dynamic resource covers the causes and effects of climate change, practical ways to combat it, and the steps the City is taking to address this global challenge. The presentation includes knowledge-testing questions to keep students engaged and concludes with a hands-on activity focused on making your school or classroom bird friendly.

Bird Friendly Stickers Arts & Crafts
Calling all arts and science teachers! Are you looking for a fun activity for your students that will not only increase awareness of environmental protection and conservation but also help protect our local wildlife populations? Consider creating bird-friendly stickers for your classroom windows to help prevent bird collisions. This activity is simple, requires very few materials, and is a great way to help promote awareness in the classroom around native bird populations. Simply place as many stickers as you would like on the inside pane of your classroom's windows and help protect our native birds.
Check out this video to learn more about the required steps and materials to create your very own stickers:
Let your creative juices flow! We can't wait to see all your creative designs. Be sure to send us photos of your awesome designs to emp@citywindsor.ca by email. Thank you for doing your part to protect our local wildlife!
A few things to consider when placing your window decals:
- Apply decal in a dense pattern, leaving no gaps more than 5 centimetres by 5 centimetres (2 inches by 2 inches);
- Apply decal to the outside surface of the glass.
