Detroit River Canadian Cleanup Committee

  • The Detroit River Canadian Cleanup (DRCC) is a community based partnership of industry, businesses, government, academics, and environmental and community organizations that work collectively in helping to improve the health of the Detroit River.
  • Representatives from the Office of the City Engineer participate in various committees, subcommittees and workgroups of the DRCC tasked with Detroit River mediation. The ultimate goal of the DRCC is the delisting of the river as an Area of Concern as identified by the International Joint Commission. The City Engineer sits on the DRCC Steering Committee along with federal and provincial representatives overseeing the group's activities.
