Sidewalk Cafe Application Process
You must follow the process outlined below in order to complete your sidewalk café application:
Once the application has undergone review within each of the service areas, comments and concerns are collected for the department. If there is no opposition or concern by any of the other parties, a permit will be issued. If there is opposition or concern, a report will proceed to City Council.
Step 4 (if there is no opposition in Step 3, proceed to Step 5):
The CAO or City Council will review the report of each application, at which time they will decide if the application will be approved or denied. If the application is approved, it will continue through the standard process as stated below. If the application is rejected, a notification will be sent to the applicant and no permit will be issued.
- Once the applicant has paid all the required fees and submitted a Certificate of Insurance satisfactory to the Risk Management Coordinator, a permit will be issued.
