Organizers of the Roseland Responder Golf Classic tournament series are excited to share details on year two of the four-year event.

This year’s tournament will take place at Roseland (455 Kennedy Drive West, Windsor), the only municipally run Donald Ross–designed course in Canada, on June 14, 2024.

Rose City Ford is once again the presenting sponsor for the event.

"Rose City Ford is proud to be the presenting sponsor for the Roseland Responder Golf Classic Tournament. There's no better way for the Rose City Ford team to help support some very worthy causes, recognize its appreciation for our first responders and celebrate the heritage and tradition of Roseland Golf Club," said General Manager Scott Ohler.

The golf series salutes the emergency service workers in our community, including Windsor Police Service, Windsor Fire and Rescue Services and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS), while raising money for charity at the same time.

“We’re proud to be involved and very pleased that this event will help our community by supporting the Windsor Fire Benefit Fund, Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) and Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario,” said Fire Chief Stephen Laforet.

Last year, $42,000 dollars was raised.

“Windsor Police is proud to support this event to help raise funds for local charities and continue to encourage camaraderie and collaboration among first-responder agencies,” said Police Chief Jason Bellaire.

This is a four-year event that will culminate in 2026, celebrating 100 years of Roseland golfing.

Chief Justin Lammers represents Essex-Windsor EMS and offered the following comments: “We’re honoured to continue to be one of the hosts of the Roseland Responder Golf Classic. It’s a legacy of the Can-Am Police Fire Games and a wonderful opportunity to be shared with our police and fire colleagues. While EMS has chosen CMHA as a benefactor, all responders will benefit from the proceeds of this tournament. We look forward to teeing up in June.”

This year’s 18-hole golf tournament will include the following:

  • Registration and breakfast provided starting at 7:15 a.m., compliments of Tim Hortons
  • A single cart and offer of scheduled tee-off times with foursomes begin at 7:30 a.m.
  • A boxed lunch served at the Halfway Hut area, followed by an “Off Duty Lounge” reception with beverage and barbecue dinner – provided by The Keg Steakhouse & Bar and Windsor Firefighter Benefit Fund
  • Contests, prizes, player gift bags and a Fire Truck Ball Drop fundraiser, which will be recorded for social media
