Windsor-Essex Seeks Public Feedback on Updating Community Safety and Well-Being Plan

Published

Residents of Windsor-Essex are encouraged to share their input to help update the Regional Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Plan. Participants are invited to join a virtual community focus group for their area of interest (Windsor or Essex County) and/or share their thoughts in an online survey available from May 16 to 30, 2025.

The CSWB Plan was developed four years ago and is the result of a partnership between the City of Windsor and the municipalities of the County of Essex, in collaboration with many local agencies and organizations. The Plan aims to identify and address local priority risks in the community before they escalate and result in crime, victimization, or harm. It recognizes that social issues are complex and require both proactive and reactive solutions to address incidents. CSWB planning focuses on working together — using existing strengths and resources — to create proactive solutions that improve feelings of safety and well-being.

Residents are being asked to share their priorities for action to improve and inform community safety and well-being in our region. Meetings will take place over Zoom on the following dates:
