Update on Fire at WFCU Centre Election Polling Station Moved and Programming Cancelled

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services responded to a call at the WFCU Centre this morning. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the fire was on the roof of the building in a few solar panels and the blaze was quickly brought under control. An assessment of the damage to the roof is underway.

As a result of the fire, the polling station at the WFCU Centre for today’s federal election has been moved to St. Joseph’s Catholic High School at 2425 Clover Avenue. 

Out of an abundance of caution, all programming at the WFCU Centre has been cancelled until 12pm (noon), Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
