Does the City of Windsor accept general resumes?

The City of Windsor does not accept general resumes. We only accept applications for employment opportunities that are posted/advertised. Please visit Current Job Postings to view our current employment opportunities.

Where do I drop off my resume?

Please refer to the "How to Apply" section in each job posting you are applying for to determine how to submit an application with your resume and cover letter.

What if I received my education outside of Canada?

If you are the successful applicant and your education was obtained outside of Canada, you will be responsible (inclusive of any costs) for verifying your education for Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency.

What is considered an accredited educational institute?

An accredited educational institute is a government regulated school. For more information, including a list of current accredited educational institutes, visit the Government of Canada website.

Education obtained through a Private Career College will not be considered equivalent.

I missed the posting period deadline. Can I still apply?

Unfortunately, once the posting period has ended, we are unable to accept additional applications. Your application must be received in our system by no later than the closing date and time indicated on the job posting.

If I applied for an advertised position, when will I hear from someone?

We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
