About the ACHF Program:

Since 2014, the ACHF program has awarded $950,000 in grant funding to 436 individual arts, culture and heritage projects in Windsor. These projects assist in building a stronger creative community that contributes to a prosperous creative economy and to making Windsor an attractive and affordable place to live.

Completion of funded projects often results in products, programs and initiatives being available for public engagement. From films to photography collections, novels to performances, exhibitions to virtual programs, the ACHF makes a difference in the community by supporting local, innovative and creative works.

Quotes:

“Nearly four hundred and fifty innovative projects have received $950,000 in funding through the ACHF grant program. This funding stream is one of the ways Council invests in a vibrant Windsor for all. The impact on artists and arts organizations continues to be significant, and I’m proud to see this fund continuing to make a difference. Helping administer this program takes time, passion and real commitment from the folks who step up to serve on the jury. But the rewards are great, providing a chance to help build our city up through art, culture and heritage.” - Mayor Drew Dilkens

“We remain very proud of the ACHF program, and grateful for Council’s ongoing support and investment in this important initiative that is one part of the overall investment in arts, culture and heritage in our community. Of course, we could not administer this program without our thorough, dedicated and caring volunteer jurors who play a crucial role in selecting projects that result in positive stories and experiences for the entire community. If you’ve ever considered supporting arts, culture and heritage in a truly unique and impactful way, please consider serving on this jury.” - Michelle Staadegaard, Manager of Culture and Events
