Service to Detroit
On Friday, April 5, 2024, the tunnel bus is operating on a special schedule for the Detroit Tigers home opener.
Buses depart Windsor International Transit Terminal (WITT), 300 Chatham Street West, as follows:
10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Return trips depart the Comerica Park bus stop at West Fisher Service Drive and Cass Avenue in Detroit as follows:
4:41 p.m., 5:11 p.m., 5:41 p.m. and 6:11 p.m.
No reservations required.
Avoid the lines by purchasing your tunnel smart ride card in advance at WITT. The fare is $10.00 each way, Canadian or American (U.S.). Exact fare is also accepted on the bus; however, the operator cannot make change, and overpayments are not reimbursed. Every passenger must pay the applicable fare on cross-border travel between Windsor and Detroit regardless of age.
For those staying in Detroit a little longer, the last regular tunnel bus departs Mariner's church at 9:41 p.m.
Transit Windsor operates two different services to Detroit, Michigan.
Tunnel Bus
The Tunnel Bus operates a short route through downtown Detroit, seven days a week. This service does not provide transportation to sporting events or concerts due to limited capacity.
Special Event Bus
The Special Event Bus Service provides service to select sporting events and concerts in downtown Detroit. Reservations are required to use the special event bus.
