Open Streets Route Support

Route support volunteers will monitor designated street closures and intersections, ensure barricades remain in place, and welcome participants as they enter the route. More importantly, route support helps bring the event to life. Bring your energy, music, chair, costumes, sidewalk chalk, or creative spirit; and help make your location the most exciting stop on the route. Whether you're cheering on participants, answering questions, or helping create a positive atmosphere, you'll play a key role in the Open Streets experience. This is an excellent opportunity for community groups and teams to volunteer together.

Requirements: Ages 18 or older, or ages 14 or older when accompanied by an adult volunteer

Event Experience Ambassador

The Event Experience Ambassador team helps set the tone for a fantastic volunteer and participant experience! Tasks may include helping at volunteer check-in, assisting block captains and event coordinators, welcoming volunteers, answering questions, and helping to ensure everyone has the best time possible along the Open Streets route!

If you love meeting people, staying organized, and helping others feel welcomed, this role is for you!

Volunteers must be 14 or older.

Volunteer Shifts

  • 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
