From recreation classes and fitness programs to seasonal activities, drop-in opportunities, and special events, our programs support active living, personal growth, and community connection. Upcoming Registration Dates
Registration for the Spring 2026 Session is available online through www.ActiveWindsor.ca and by calling the Centralized Registration and Booking Centre at 519-255-1161.
- Summer Day Camp registration begins Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
- Aquatics Leadership registration begins Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
- Aquatics Programming registration begins Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
- Community Programming registration begins Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
Programs will be available online for viewing one (1) week prior to the corresponding registration date.
Volunteering in Community Programming
The Recreation Department is looking for enthusiastic individuals to volunteer in our Summer Day Camp and SUPIE (Supervised) programs. Program volunteers are required to be 14 years old or entering grade 9 in September 2026. Volunteers will work alongside City of Windsor staff and assist in program facilitation. Volunteers play an important role in creating a fun, safe, and exciting environment for all participants. Volunteers are expected to be positive role models, demonstrate leadership, and actively engage with participants of varying ages and abilities.
Day camp volunteers are permitted to volunteer on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays within the camp program, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. SUPIE volunteers can volunteer Monday to Sunday during the programming hours. Volunteer schedules are provided based on programming needs and availability.

Summer Day Camp — Recreation Discovery Camps
Participants will take a deep dive into some of our most popular recreation offerings through our Recreation Discovery Camps! These camps offer a focused experience for one full week of camp where participants will learn specific skills in particular recreation subjects (Gymnastics, Sports, Cooking/Baking, Leaders in Training, Karate, Theatre, Art Adventure, Outdoor Exploration).
Please note that field trips and swim days are not offered at John Atkinson Memorial Centre (AMC), Mackenzie Hall, or the Malden Park Visitor Centre. Instead, participants will enjoy enhanced in-house programming, including larger themed special events designed to provide engaging and memorable experiences. Hot lunches are provided for all participants every Friday at all locations.

Kids' Night In, Parents' Night Off
Registration is now open for the Kids' Night In, Parents' Night Off program at the Gino and Liz Marcus Community Complex. Free up your evening and leave the kids with us! Participants will enjoy a themed night of sports, crafts and games. Registration is required; spaces are limited. Light snack is included.
