Lakeview Park Marina
The former Pelee Channel lighthouse, which served as a navigation aid to the Lake Erie shippers since 1902, was reconstructed as a feature of Lakeview Park Marina. The Thomas building, located at the marina, was the former home of the late Bertha Thomas. The Thomas family was well known to the area prior to the early nineteen-sixties, operating for approximately 50 years the Thomas Inn, a roadhouse style restaurant that once stood adjacent to the Thomas house. The primary purpose of the marina is to provide the public with a marine recreation facility accommodating both seasonal and transient mooring, daily boat launching and related marina amenities (i.e. fuel dock, sanitary pump out, and restroom facilities). In addition, the marina provides safe harbourage for boaters seeking shelter during inclement weather.
