Restoration Projects at Willistead Manor
Dinner for Six at the Manor: For every one hundred dollars ($100.00) contributed by December 31 each year, you will receive one (1) entry in a draw to win a private dinner for six catered for you and five guests in the manor’s formal dining room. The draw typically takes place in January of each new year.
Dear Sir or Madam,
As Willistead Manor enters its 114th year, the Board of Directors of Willistead Manor would like to thank all of those who support Windsor’s crown jewel. The generosity of individuals like you enhances Willistead Manor’s status as Windsor’s premier heritage site, and for this, we extend our heartfelt thanks. This complements much-appreciated contributions from The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918)’s Art-In-The-Park, The Friends of Willistead, corporations, foundations and other groups.
What a year it has been for everyone. The Covid-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the annual Art in the Park event. In addition, the manor has been closed to any events since March due to the inability to adequately sanitize surfaces without damaging the exquisite woodwork and furnishings. Our initiative to establish a permanent historical exhibit in the coach house to complement and enhance visitors' knowledge of the manor, the Walker family and Walkerville has also been put on hold. We anxiously await the opportunity to restart this important project. We continue to welcome your comments and would appreciate hearing about any pertinent historical artifacts you may have.
Please consider supporting the continuing Willistead Manor initiatives promoting Windsor’s crown jewel during both your estate planning and year-end charitable giving.
The Willistead Manor Board of Directors:
Mary Jane Dettinger
Chris Holt (Councillor)
Douglas Sanborn (Chair)
Please be a part of Willistead’s continuing legacy!
