Upper Little River Master Plan Environmental Assessment (ULREA)

The City of Windsor in conjunction with the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) and the Town of Tecumseh initiated a Class Environmental Assessment Study in accordance with Phase 1 & 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) process. The purpose of the study is to document existing conditions and to recommend storm water management measures to protect existing resources as development continues in the upper reaches of Little River.
Project Updates:
Master Plan Process Update
In October 2017, the ULREA was completed and filed. However, due to the overall duration of the project and changes to the EA requirements, the approach to completing the master plan changed, requiring an update to the ULREA. Updates included evaluation of potential impacts to cultural heritage and archeological resources as well as source water protection. No changes have been made to the alternatives considered or master plan recommendations. The report has now been finalized and can be found below:
Environmental Assessment Report Completed - Final
