Windsor Launches Environmental Perspectives Survey to Align with Resident Priorities

Published

The City of Windsor is inviting residents to participate in the Environmental Perspectives Survey, which offers a meaningful opportunity for the community to share views on local environmental priorities, program awareness, and ideas for future action.

The insights gathered will help to inform the City’s environmental goals and build on feedback from previous environmental surveys.

The survey results will help guide the development of future education initiatives, strengthen the City’s understanding of public awareness and perceptions on climate change and related programs, and support efforts to address environmental challenges. Additionally, this information will contribute to the next edition of the Report on the State of the Environment (ROSE) and the Environmental Master Plan.

Survey objectives:

  • Explore public perception of climate and environmental issues
  • Gauge awareness and satisfaction with current environmental programs
  • Identify priorities for future environmental initiatives

Residents are encouraged to complete the survey by October 31, 2025. All responses will remain anonymous and are collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001, and are subject to the provisions of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act

Quote:

"The Environmental Perspectives Survey offers a valuable opportunity to hear directly from residents about what matters most to them and what the City should prioritize in addressing climate change. By sharing your perspective, you’ll help us better understand community priorities; guide our efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions; and shape a healthier, more sustainable Windsor for everyone."
