The WeVax To Win contest was launched September 1, 2021 to boost our region’s COVID-19 vaccination rate while simultaneously supporting our local economy. The contest offers over $200,000 in prizes to fully vaccinated against COVID-19 Windsor-Essex residents.

The next round of prizes were drawn today, and winners will be contacted once their vaccination is verified. Today’s prizes included:

  • Windsor Property Tax Holiday
  • Windsor Rent Holiday
  • Town of Tecumseh Prize Packages:
  • Tecumseh Transit Services Bus Pass – Adult & Student
  • Tecumseh Marriage Licences (18 years and older)
  • Tecumseh Dog Tags
  • Tecumseh Home Safety Package
  • Tecumseh Fire Station Tour and Ride in a Fire Truck
  • Tecumseh Backwater Valve
  • Tecumseh Recreation Program or Rental Gift Card

There are many incredible prizes available in upcoming draws, including the chance to drive away with a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica and 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.

All Winners are required to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19, and proof of residency to claim their prize.

To date, over 62,000 residents in Windsor and Essex County have registered for the contest. The WEVax To Win website also contains links to information on booking your vaccine, vaccine information and vaccine myths.

This is the time to get your shot, do your part to protect the community, and have a chance to win one of many great prizes in the process! Visit for more information on all available prizes and to enter the draw.

“Our message today is simple: our community and our local economic recovery is relying on a fully vaccinated public to guard against further pandemic risk. Each shot in each arm is a collective step closer to ending the spread of COVID-19, and returning fully to the things and places we love. So please, help us thank you for your own vaccination effort and register today for your chance to WIN!”

Drew Dilkens, Mayor of the City of Windsor

“Getting vaccinated is its own reward because you are protecting yourself and those around you from COVID-19 and this contest has done so much to dispel vaccine hesitancy and promote this region’s historic vaccination effort,” said Warden Gary McNamara. “Thank you to the more than 320,000 Windsor and Essex County residents who have rolled up their sleeves and thank you to our community partners for stepping up with so many prizes.”

Gary McNamara, Warden of the County of Essex
