Celebrate Windsor's 134th Birthday!

Each year, we celebrate the City of Windsor's birthday with an exciting party. Join us for Windsor's 134th anniversary of incorporation with a free community event packed with fun for the entire family!

Event Details

Join us for free cupcakes and hot dogs (while quantities last), live entertainment, recreation activities and demonstrations, activities, community partner booths, giveaways and more! 

Date: Saturday, May 9, 2026
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Location: 350 City Hall Square West

Opening ceremonies will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will conclude with the annual ceremonial birthday cake cutting by Mayor Drew Dilkens and members of City Council to officially kick off the celebration!

Join the Celebration and Enjoy:

  • Live entertainment from Big Louie and the Band
  • Free cupcakes and hot dogs (while quantities last)
  • Recreation demonstrations, including Zumba, Bhangra, Self-Defense, Salsa, and Karate; yard games; chalk activities; colouring pages; community partner activations; and giveaways
  • And more!

As part of the celebration, guests can also enjoy free admission throughout the day to the Chimczuk Museum from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Art Windsor-Essex from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Also make a splash at Adventure Bay Family Water Park Presented by WFCU Credit Union from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with Starlight admission pricing available from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
