Business Licensing By-law 395-2004, Schedule R1 (see By-laws Online)
Applicant Requirements:
- Two (2) pieces of government-issued identification including one photo I.D. as well as one I.D. demonstrating proof of status in Canada (e.g. birth certificate, Canadian passport, Canadian citizenship card, permanent resident card, work permit, etc.)
- Certificate of Incorporation, if applicable
- Master Business Licence, if applicable
- Police Records Check (new applications only - original document, issued in the municipality that you reside in and not more than 30 days old)
- $2,000.00 security deposit (new pawnbroker applications only), per The Pawnbrokers Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.6, s. 6, to be refunded upon closure of business/cessation of licensing with the City of Windsor
