Tunnel Bus Service

The tunnel bus is currently operating on a detour.

During the National Football League (NFL) Draft in Detroit, Michigan, from April 25 to 27, 2024, the Tunnel Bus will not be operating. For those wishing to go to Detroit during this time, please reserve your seat on the NFL Draft Shuttle bus.

The Tunnel bus has limited capacity and operates on a one-hour-schedule service. The last bus leaving Detroit from the Mariner's Church stop is at 9:41 p.m. from Monday to Saturday and at 7:41 p.m. on Sunday.

Bus at Tunnel Platform at Windsor International Transit Terminal

The Tunnel bus operates a short route through downtown Detroit, seven days a week. Buses leave from Windsor International Transit Terminal, 300 Chatham Street West, on a regular schedule.

The regular Tunnel bus does not provide service to special events, and Transit Windsor strongly recommends not to use this service if you are attending a sporting event or concert. If you are attending these events, it is best to reserve your seat with our Special Event Bus Service.

Fare:

$10.00 each way, Canadian or American (U.S.)

  • Every passenger must pay the applicable fare on cross-border travel between Windsor and Detroit regardless of age.
  • Debit and credit cards cannot be used on the bus. When paying cash on the bus, exact fare is required. Operators cannot make change, and overpayments are not reimbursed.
