Special Event Bus Service

During the National Football League (NFL) Draft in Detroit, Michigan, from April 25 to 27, 2024, the Special Event Bus will not be operating. For those wishing to go to Detroit during this time, please reserve your seat on the NFL Draft Shuttle bus.

Transit Windsor provides Special Event bus service to select sporting events and concerts in Detroit, Michigan. Reservations are required to use the Special Event bus.

Important Information:

1. Seating capacity is limited, and passengers will not be accepted without a reservation.
2. The fare is $20 per person for a round-trip ticket.
3. Your special event ticket is only valid on the special event bus. Special event tickets are not valid on the regular tunnel bus.
4. After you have successfully paid, you will receive a confirmation email containing a QR code to check in on the day of the event.
5. Tickets cannot be picked up until 24 hours prior to the event.
6. Please arrive at Windsor International Transit Terminal, 300 Chatham Street West, thirty (30) minutes before your reserved time.
7. Proceed to a customer service clerk and present your QR code. You'll be given a pass to use on the bus for boarding in Windsor and when returning from Detroit. One ticket is issued per person.
8. Special event boarding is on the east side of the terminal.
9. In-person walk-ups will be accepted if there are seats remaining on the bus.

Returning from Detroit:

1. Return trip times are dependent on the conclusion of the event.
2. The last bus will leave no later than thirty (30) minutes following the conclusion of the special event.

Refunds:

1. Refunds will only be provided to those who cancel an existing reservation before the departure time of the event.
2. Once the reservation time has elapsed, no refunds will be issued for any reason.
3. Refunds will be provided if Transit Windsor cancels an event for low seating demand.

Event Cancellations:

1. If an event is cancelled due to no fault of Transit Windsor, the entire purchase amount will be refunded to the original form of payment.
2. Transit Windsor may cancel event service based on low seating demand for a specific event within 24 hours of departure.
