Google Transit, a feature of Google Maps, is a public trip planning tool that combines the latest Transit Windsor schedule and route information with the power of Google Maps. It is a free service that puts transit information at your fingertips.
Google Transit uses published schedules when calculating routing options. Therefore, you will not see Secondary School Extras or Senior Specials options when using Google Transit, as these are supplementary services to enhance our published timetables. This also means that Detours cannot be used when calculating trips. Please use the interactive mapping option or map files in PDF that appear on the Secondary School Extras, Senior Specials or Detours web pages.
View the one-minute educational YouTube video with audio to learn how to use Google Maps. Or, view the two-and-a-half-minute educational YouTube video with subtitles, no audio to learn how to use Google Maps.
We do not have an app available at this time, and any that are available are from third party developers. These are not official Transit Windsor products and we do not endorse, warrant or support these applications.
Rider's Guide (PDF):
Effective: September 6, 2015
Buses operate 7 days a week, unless otherwise specified in the individual schedules. Please view current detours.
- Time points listed in the schedule are approximate.
- Individual bus schedules are subject to traffic and weather conditions.
- Please make reasonable allowances when arriving at boarding points.
- Schedule and route changes may occur without advance notification.
Schedules and maps are displayed in portable document format (PDF). To view in PDF, you should have Adobe Acrobat Reader X (10) or later installed. If you do not have Adobe Reader, you can download it for free from Adobe's website.
Look for the QR code at bus shelters. Use your smart phone to scan the code to access schedules and maps quickly. Having problems accessing the files? Make sure to clear the cache on your browser. An easy way to do this is to hold down your shift button and click the refresh near the URL.
