About Transit

Our mission is providing safe, reliable and affordable public transit for the community through continuous improvement in customer care, environmental stewardship and employee excellence.

Transit Windsor is part of the Office of the City Engineer, which falls under the corporate structure of the City of Windsor. Mark Winterton is the Commissioner, Infrastructure Services, which includes Development Projects & Right of Way, Infrastructure and Geomatics, Pollution Control, Public Works Operations, Facilities and Transit Windsor.

Welcome Aboard

Every year Transit Windsor travels more than 5.5 million kilometres throughout our community. During peak weekday travel times we have 86 buses on the road and 72 buses during weekend and evening peak travel times. This is accomplished with a fleet of 117 buses, all of which are fully accessible.

Taking you to your destination quickly and safely is our priority. Please be patient during adverse weather and traffic delays. You should make reasonable allowances when arriving at boarding points.
