Emergency Prepardness Plan

Emergency Preparedness Plan

Threats and risks to Canadians living and working in long-term care are becoming increasingly complex due to the diversity of natural hazards affecting our region and the growth of other type of threats arising from the consequences of globalized disease outbreaks, climate change, critical infrastructure interdependencies and cyber attacks.

Huron Lodge aims to strengthen resiliency by promoting an integrated and comprehensive approach that includes the four pillars of emergency management: prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.

Our Emergency Preparedness Manual was designed in consultation with various health care and local agencies such as hospitals, Public Health Unit, Ontario Health, Transit Windsor as well as leaders in emergency preparedness – Windsor Fire and EMS services.
