Short-Term Rental By-law 115-2022, Schedule A (See By-laws Online)

Applicant Requirements

Please note: Applications will be accepted starting on September 6, 2022.

For all new and renewal applications:

• Application for Short-Term Rental Licence
• (2) pieces of government-issued identification (I.D.) including one photo I.D. as well as one I.D. demonstrating proof of status in Canada (e.g. birth certificate, Canadian passport, Canadian citizenship card, permanent resident card, work permit, etc.)
• Proof of Insurance
• Criminal record check
• Proof of principal residence

For new applications where the primary applicant is a registered owner of the property:

• Proof of property ownership

For new applications where the primary applicant is not a registered owner of the property:

• Proof of tenancy
• Notarized letter of permission from registered property owner

For new applications where the unit is located in a condominium building:

• Notarized letter of permission from condo corporation
