Evaluation and Measurement

Since 2017, Pathway to Potential (P2P) has sought to “change the conversation” away from poverty reduction and towards making social investments in our residents, neighbourhoods and community. Our 9-point plan is designed to positively impact lives every year. For more information about P2P's impact and contribution to investing in Windsor-Essex, please see the resources below.

Pathway to Potential Funded Programs

Be Back Soon

In 2019, staff from Be Back Soon presented to City of Windsor's Community Services and Parks Standing Committee about the impact their P2P funded program is having on its clients. As part of their presentation to standing committee, an impact video of Yasmin was shown detailing her experience using the Be Back Soon program at Connections and how it benefited her while she was in post-graduate school and her daughter.

In 2020, Pathways to Prosperity Canada, with funding by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), released a series of promising practices in settlement and integration that showed empirical evidence for their effectiveness. Be Back Soon's model of providing free, short-term, unlicensed child care was identified as a promising practice. Please take a moment to watch Samar, a mother who moved to Canada in 2019, as she shares her experience with the Be Back Soon program and staff at Connections and how they have supported her family.

Drouillard Place

See how Pathway to Potential, the City of Windsor and County of Essex social investment plan, continues to serve its participants through programs like those offered at Drouillard Place with COVID-19 restrictions in place. Please take a minute to watch Kate Gibb, the Executive Director of Drouillard Place, explain how the program has had to adapt to connect with children and youth during these difficult times.

Windsor Essex Community Housing Corporation (CHC)

The highlight reel from Windsor Essex CHC's 2018 Summer Recreation Program for Youth showcases the fun children living in CHC's neighbourhoods had and answered the question, What does community mean to you?
