St. Rose Trunk Storm Sewer and Pumping Station - Schedule 'C' Municipal Class Environment Assessment

The City of Windsor (City) adopted its Sewer & Coastal Flood Protection Master Plan (SMP) in July of 2020. The SMP identified the need for a new stormwater pumping station and new storm sewer outlet to the Detroit River at St. Rose Beach Park, located at the intersection of St. Rose Avenue and Riverside Drive East. The SMP has been completed in accordance with phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) process. Upon the completion of the SMP, projects identified as Schedule A, A+ and B are approved for implementation and construction. The new trunk storm sewer components located within existing municipal rights-of-way are identified as Schedule B projects. Learn more about the Sewer & Coastal Flood Protection Master Plan.

The requirements identified in the SMP for a new St. Rose pumping station and associated storm sewers are identified as Schedule C projects. Hence, the goal of this project is to complete phases 3 and 4 of the Municipal Class EA process for the preferred design of the St. Rose pumping station and associated storm sewers with a tentatively scheduled completion date for the EA of August 2022.
