Recreate. Stay-at-Home Resources

COVID-19 has greatly impacted many facets of our lives. The City of Windsor recognizes that although this pandemic has interrupted our daily routine, it has also given us an opportunity to find creative ways be healthy, to have fun and to be productive – a chance to Recreate. Below you’ll find information on fun activities and projects you can do while you are at home.

Online Resources: Recreation

Recreation & Culture has developed a new Online Resources: Recreation page for those looking to stay active and healthy, both physically and mentally. Links promote resources from local, national and international organizations and feature at-home workout routines; activities for children and seniors; mental health resources and much more.

Online Resources: Exploring History and Culture

On the heritage and culture side, Museum Windsor has added a new Online Resources: Exploring History and Culture page. This page also features local and international content and includes educational resources for students; links to virtual exhibit tours; photo and artifact databases from around the world; and entertaining videos.

COVID-19 Journal

Museum Windsor has also worked with the Windsor Public Library to develop a COVID-19 Journal and is looking for public support in gathering personal entries. Residents are encouraged to download the journal and write on any topic relating to the COVID-19 pandemic that they feel is important. For those unsure what to write about, sample questions are included for children and adults. Once an entry is complete, it can be scanned and emailed to Museum Windsor and added to their COVID-19 Collection. This is a great opportunity for residents to preserve their voice and personal experience for future generations.
