Minimum Qualifications (non negotiable):

  • A valid, full driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
  • Knowledge of industry standard hand signals.
  • Experience in construction
  • Strong knowledge of OHSA
  • Certification of an aerial manlift and forklift operation preferred.
  • WAH Certification.
  • Proven ability to adapt to different situations.
  • Willing to submit a background check.
  • Strong work ethic and dependable.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Attention to detail, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent analytical, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a steady paced team environment.
  • Must have the ability to problem solve and communicate effectively
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously is a must.
  • Must provide own steel-toed safety boots and PPE.

Preferred but negotiable:

  • ​​Mechanically inclined. Experience with hand tools an asset.

Job Description:

Responsibilities for the Spotter/Aerial Manlift Operator/General Labourer

include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide guidance to drivers, operators and pedestrians.
  • Protect vehicles and equipment that are moving through the site.
  • Aware of surroundings, and be visible to operators/drivers at all times
  • Daily housekeeping and maintenance of work areas. Keep work areas free of debris and dirt.
  • Working within a team environment.
  • Direct travel route when driver’s vision is blocked.
  • Direct crane operations.
  • Ensure forklifts are loaded properly.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Represent Haller Mechanical in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Customer liaison regarding concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned​
