Ojibway Park Scheduled Closures for Trail Maintenance

Mother Nature’s cold snap will allow staff at Ojibway Park to continue their trail maintenance work next week.

The park will be closed to the public for maintenance from Tuesday, February 16 through Friday February 19, 2021, between 7am and 4pm daily.

The four days of temporary closure will allow for mulch and stone to be replenished on trail surfaces, which is necessary to help with trail flooding in the spring and maintain the safety of the trail system for users.

This maintenance is ideal during the winter months when the ground is frozen and vulnerable wildlife are hibernating.

Other City-owned natural areas to explore include Black Oak Heritage Park, Tallgrass Prairie Heritage Park, Spring Garden Natural Area, Oakwood Natural Area, South Cameron Natural Area and Little River Corridor.
