Top Layer of Colourized Rubber for Legacy Park Playground

Installation of the final layer of colourized rubber will be applied to the new playground in Legacy Park starting this week.

Installation and inspection are expected to take approximately three weeks (May 17 to 31, 2023), and while the playground will be closed, the park will be open throughout.

The playground is located at the eastern end of Legacy Park near the foot of Church Street and has a National Football League (NFL) theme.

The Legacy Park play structure is one of 125 public playgrounds in Windsor that are being upgraded and modernized through the Playground Replacement Program. The budget for the new structure is $400,000, which is an addition to the $9.4 million approved in 2021 that is being spent to construct 32 new accessible playgrounds in 2022 and 2023 across the city.
