Plows Move Into Residential Areas Following Snowfall

The snowstorm that moved through Southern Ontario yesterday is now behind us, and it appears that the Windsor-Essex area received approximately 15 centimetres of snow.

While City and contract crews continue to ensure that main routes remain clear, additional plows have been brought in and have started clearing residential streets. Crews continue to work to remove drifting in localized spots. Once the main routes are completely clear, teams will join the effort to clear residential streets.  It’s expected the plowing of all residential roads will be complete late tomorrow morning.

Please be aware that clearing of residential streets can be impacted by parked vehicles on roadways. These vehicles can significantly impede the clearing of residential roads in a timely manner, so if possible, please remove your car from the roadway.
