Ojibway Nature Centre Opens on Earth Day
The Ojibway Nature Centre will be open on Earth Day, Friday, April 22, 2022.
The centre at 5200 Matchette Road will be open from noon to 5 p.m. this Friday to give nature lovers an early visit before officially opening for the season on Wednesday, April 27, when it will resume regular hours Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 5 p.m.
On Sunday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., join the City of Windsor and the Essex Windsor Solid Waste Authority at Malden Park (4200 Malden Road) for the free public Earth Day celebration. The event will feature exhibitors, vendors and family fun activities to help inspire and guide us to "Invest in Our Planet" as we celebrate the 52nd Anniversary of Earth Day.
And don’t forget that each day until April 30, the GooseChase app will feature unique missions on environmental themes, including biodiversity, waste diversion, climate change, active transportation, wastewater and the Detroit River. These missions will help us discover local actions to invest in a healthy, sustainable Windsor-Essex, all from the safety of your home, backyard or neighbourhood, and they can all be completed at your own pace.
