City of Windsor Holiday Hours for Family Day

City of Windsor offices will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2020 in observance of the Family Day holiday. The next City Council meeting will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 in Council Chambers at City Hall.

311 Contact Centre

The 311 Contact Centre will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2020. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 311 services and information are also available online and via the Windsor 311 mobile app.

211 Windsor-Essex

The 211 Call Centre will be open 24 hours on Monday to serve residents throughout Windsor and Essex County.

Garbage and Recycling Collections

There will be no residential collection services on Monday, February 17, 2020. Residential garbage, yard waste and recycling collection services will be delayed by one (1) day. Please refer to your 2019-2020 Waste Collection Calendar. Night commercial, front end loader and weekly recycling collections are not delayed. Public Drop-off & Household Chemical Waste Depots

The depots located at the northeast corner of Central Avenue and E.C. Row will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2020. Regular hours of operation (holidays excepted) are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The depot is available for the self-disposal of garbage, renovation material, furniture, recyclables, appliances, tires, shingles and yard waste. Some disposal fees may apply.

Parks and Recreation

All community centres and all customer care centres will be closed with the exception of scheduled rentals on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Indoor pools at Adie Knox Herman and Gino & Liz Marcus will be closed, while the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre (WIATC) Presented by WFCU Credit Union will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (natatorium and fitness centre).

The WFCU Centre is open on Family Day for a scheduled tournament, as well as a family swim from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  The Windsor Express will be playing the Sudbury Five at 5pm in the main bowl and admission is free of charge in celebration of Family Day.  All other arenas will be closed.

Charles Clark Square will have free supervised skating (weather permitting) from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Family Day. Lanspeary Lions Outdoor Rink will be closed.

Adventure Bay Family Water Park

Adventure Bay Family Water Park Presented by WFCU Credit Union and Cannon Cove are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Family Day. Special $15 flat rate all day. 

Parking Enforcement

There will be no parking enforcement on Monday, February 17, 2020, and municipal ticket payment offices will be closed. Ticket payments may still be made online by visiting the E-Services tab at www.citywindsor.ca.

Windsor Public Library

All locations of the Windsor Public Library will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2020. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.

Museum Windsor

Chimczuk Museum and François Baby House locations are normally closed on Mondays and will remain closed.

Transit Windsor

City buses will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Monday, February 17, 2020. The Tunnel Bus will operate on a regular weekday schedule. Schedules and route maps are available online at www.transitwindsor.ca. The Customer Service Office at 300 Chatham Street West is open regular hours on Monday from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. The sales office at 3700 North Service Road East will be closed.
