The downtown terminal is located at 300 Chatham Street West between Dougall and Church Streets and next door to the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre/Adventure Bay. We strongly suggest you board the bus at the Transit Terminal, as the bus is often filled to capacity due to high ridership levels for concerts and sporting events. This means the bus will not be able to pick up passengers at other tunnel bus stops along the way.

To Detroit:

  • Please refer to the current schedule for departure times.
  • The Tunnel Bus will drop you off in front of Cobo Conference Center.  A short walk indoors through the convention center brings you to Joe Louis Arena.  After the event, simply retrace your steps through Cobo to catch the Tunnel Bus back to Windsor.
  • New! Clear Bag Policy at Joe Louis Arena.  This season, the Clear Bag Policy will be strictly enforced at all Red Wings home games. Guests with a non-compliant bag will not be allowed inside Joe Louis Arena.  View the full policy, including what bags you may bring into the arena,
Please Note: Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items and diaper bags after thorough inspection by security.

To Windsor:

  • After the event, simply retrace your steps through Cobo to catch the Tunnel Bus back to Windsor.
  • Buses begin returning to Windsor immediately after, and up to a maximum of 30 minutes past the end of the game or concert, including overtime.
  • Extra Tunnel Bus service is added for large events, such as the North American International Auto Show, operating on a passenger-demand basis.

Boarding the Bus at Tunnel Plaza

Due to traffic congestion in downtown Detroit or other circumstances beyond our control, it is sometimes necessary to shorten the route in Detroit. To avoid lengthy delays, customers should walk over to the tunnel plaza (south of Mariner's Church) to board the bus.
