| Jan 13, 2007 - Fiddler Eileen Ivers has established herself as the pre-eminent exponent of the Irish fiddle in the world. Ivers bridges the gap between her Celtic roots and styles ranging from jazz, salsa and flamenco to rock funk. Elieen Ivers & Immigrant Soul provide both musical energy and a style that is constantly pressed against the limits of traditionalism. Dubbed “the Jimi Hendricks of the violin” by the New York Times, she has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops, and Paula Cole (to name a few) and was a musical star in Riverdance.
