Mayor’s Youth Leadership Team

Student Lottery Program Results

The recruitment campaign for the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Team (MYLT) Student Lottery Program is now closed. We had a tremendous response and want to thank everyone for your interest.

Congratulations to all of the successful candidates listed below. To determine if you are one of those selected through the random lottery process, please refer to the on-screen confirmation number that was provided to you when you submitted your online application and then see if it is one of those listed below.

You will receive an email by end of day Tuesday, February 16, 2016 to confirm the next phase of the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Team selection process. Personal interviews will take place at the Windsor International Aquatic & Training Centre on either Tuesday, February 23 or Wednesday, February 24 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Due to the volume of applicants, we ask that you please do not contact the Mayor’s Office as those individuals who have been selected for this program will be contacted by the MYLT Organizing Committee via email, using the email address supplied on your online application.

What's Next? Interview and Training Schedule:

Selected applicants will receive notice and an interview schedule by Friday, February 12, 2016

  • Interviews to be held at WIATC* Tuesday, February 23 (6pm – 8:30pm)

  • Interviews to be held at WIATC* Wednesday, February 24 (6pm – 8:30pm)

*WIATC – Windsor International Aquatic Training Centre – 401 Pitt Street West

Applicants will be assigned a 15 minute interview timeline.

Confirmation of Mayor’s Youth Leadership Team members will receive notification on Friday, March 4.

Mayor Dilkens' Original Pitch for Applicants:

We are looking for promising youth leaders from diverse backgrounds in the City of Windsor to volunteer to be part of the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Team. If you are between the ages of 15 and 24, this is an opportunity to become inspired, educated and empowered to make a difference in your city.

You will lead by example and will be called upon to represent the City of Windsor at a number of events, beginning with the FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) taking place from December 6-11, 2016. You will join us in welcoming thousands of the world’s best swimmers, coaches and guests from over 170 countries around the world.
