Who We Are

The Social Development, Health and Culture Standing Committee is comprised of the following 5 members of City Council, with the Mayor as ex-officio:

What We Do

The Social Development, Health and Culture Standing Committee typically meets on the second Wednesday of each month.  The Administrative Advisor is the Community Development and Health Commissioner.  The mandate of this Standing Committee shall be to study and report to Council on all matters relating to the following:

• Community Services (recreation)
• Housing and Homelessness
• Cultural Matters
• Poverty Roundtable
• Employment Services
• Long Term Care Services
• Children Services
