Environment & Transportation Standing Committee 

Who We Are

The Environment & Transportation Standing Committee is comprised of the following 5 members of City Council, with the Mayor as ex-officio:

  • Councillor Halberstadt
  • Councillor Hatfield
  • Councillor Payne
  • Councillor Sleiman
  • Councillor Valentinis

What We Do

The Environment & Transportation Standing Committee typically meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month.  The Administrative Advisor is the City Engineer.  The mandate of this Standing Committee shall be to study and report to Council on all matters relating to the following:

  • Long-range capital projects
  • Policy matters relating to general infrastructure development and design
  • Environmental policies relating to waste management, waste water services, and other environmental matters
  • Regional infrastructure matters
  • Transportation networks including roads, and cycling and walking path systems
  • Parks
