Purchasing & Risk Management Division

Comprising two service categories, the Purchasing & Risk Management Division of the City of Windsor performs a variety of functions and services.

Purchasing:

The Purchasing Division is responsible for the procurement of all materials, supplies and contracts required by the City and administers all Requests for Tender and Requests for Proposals on the City's behalf. The Purchasing Division is also responsible for administration of the City's Purchasing By-law 400-2004 (see By-laws Online) and for maintaining and managing the City's Vendor Management Program.
 

Bids and Tenders:

  • To be placed on the City of Windsor's Vendor's List, please contact the Purchasing Division for an application. All Public Openings for tenders are held at 400 City Hall Square East, Suite 403.

Risk Management:

  • The Risk Management Division is responsible for the placement and administration of all City insurance coverage and the handling of all third party liability claims made against the City relating to personal injury or property damage.  Some of its specific function include:
  • Assisting other City departments in mitigating claims risk;
  • Approving third party insurance certificates provided by vendors performing services for the City, parties who enter into agreements with the City, those hosting special events on City property for personal use.  For further information regarding insurance matter please view the Proof of Insurance web page;
