311 Top 10 for 2012
The City of Windsor’s 311 Call Centre statistics show dirty yards and tree maintenance topped the list of service requests for 2012.
There were 33,438 service requests in total entered between January and December, 2012. There were 34,948 over the same period in 2011.
Dirty yard calls, requesting help from the city’s By-Law Enforcement Unit, topped the top 10 with 4,542 calls.
By-Law Enforcement Manager Ann Kalinowski explains, “Typical dirty yard complaints involve things like grass and weeds in excess of 12 inches, garbage and debris, old furniture or household items that are considered discarded or abandoned. When we receive these calls, we send an officer out for inspection and resolution”.
Residents are encouraged to call 311 to help city officials know when improvements can be made to our surroundings.
