You Be The Judge

Actually we'll be the judge, prosecutors, and bailiff -- but your group will be the jury, the witnesses, and maybe even the defendant in a hilarious judicial free-for-all!  We've done many a murder trial in the past, but to make things a little more interesting your group can also dream up the charges just before the show begins.  We'll also ask for witnesses from the audience (on a volunteer basis, of course) to help us point some fingers.  Don't worry: it's easy, it's painless, and most importantly, it's a whole lot of fun!

Groups of up to 55 people can comfortably enjoy the proceedings in Mackenzie Hall's elegant Macdonald Courtroom, with authentic furniture and decorations saved from the former criminal court.  Larger groups can hang 'em high in the actual Court Auditorium!  Your program will have even more juicy historical tidbits.

Booking You Be The Judge:

• A minimum of 36 guests is required to book our shows, with a suggested maximum of 55.  We can also happily accommodate larger groups.  We request confirmation of your final group size at least 48 hours in advance of the event; such notice is requisite if meal or refreshment services are planned.
• A deposit of 50 percent of the tour price will confirm your contract.  The balance is due 2 weeks prior to your event.

The following menu is an example of the most popular dinner meal by the St. Clair Centre for the Arts (lunch is also available for groups travelling by day):

• Roast Sirloin with Mushroom Gravy

• Assorted Rolls and Whipped Butter
• Assorted Pastries
• Coffee & Tea

Special meal arrangements are always welcome, and can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis with Mackenzie Hall's Caterer.  Groups that do not wish to have a full meal can also arrange for a light refreshment service, provided through Mackenzie Hall.

The light refreshment service usually consists of a seasonal beverage and a snack or dessert.  Arrangements for customized refreshments can be made in advance with Mackenzie Hall.
