Monthly Calendar of Events and Announcements

What kinds of things will you find on the Calendar?

• Visits by a Speech Pathologist or Early Literacy Specialist
• Special "Dad's" programs
• Discussion groups
• Workshops by the Health Unit and other Community Partners, such as "Parenting Stress", "Disciplining Your Child", "Toilet Training" and "Picky Eaters", etc.
• Special programs such as, "Mother Goose", "Triple 'P' Parenting", "Family Math" and "Infant Massage", etc.
• Some special events, such as demonstrations by Aboriginal drummers, visits to the Fire Department, and the annual "Teddy Bear Picnic", etc.

Although great efforts are taken to ensure the accuracy of the calendar, occasionally there are unforeseen cancellations or additions.  You can confirm details at the centres listed or check this page for announcements.

Correction - The March 30th event to be held at Holy Name at 11:00 am. and the discussion with Darcy Thachuk from Windsor Essex Children's Aid Society will be on fostering not adoption as indicated on the calendar.

March Break OEY Centre Closures

The following OEY Centres will be closed during the March Break (March 15th - 21st)

• General Brock Public School
• J.E Benson Public School
• Kingsville Public School
• Holy Name Catholic Elementary School
• Harrow Senior Public School
• Mill St. Public School
• Mill St. Elementary School

Additional March Break Hours will be offered at KEYS (23 Mill St. West Kingsville) on Monday March 16th and Tuesday March 17th from 9:30 am - 11:30 am.

Easter Weekend Closures (April 2nd - April 5th)

All OEYC's will be closed except for Great Beginnings, which will be open for regular hours at both their California and Bloomfield sites on Monday.

Changes to Regular Hours of Operation

The Ska:Na Family Learning Centre Aboriginal OEYC has new hours.  They will be open on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Drouillard Place Evening Program

An evening program has been added at Drouillard Place OEYC on Mondays from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm beginning April 12th, 2010.

Great Beginnings Ontario Early Years in partnership with St. Mary's Family Learning Centre Introduces "Dads on the Move".  Free community field trips for Dads and their kids.  Contact Great Beginnings (519-253-5235) or St. Mary's Family Learning Centre (519-252-9696) for this months' event.
