Ride Guide
Ride Guide

Transit Windsor wants your ride on the bus to be a pleasant experience. That is why we aim to give you as much information as possible, kind of an "everything you wanted to know about riding the bus, but were afraid to ask" premise:

  • The Transit Windsor Board of Directors adopted a Full Accessibility Implementation Plan in 1994. That means that since that date any new Transit Windsor buses must be fully accessible (also referred to as low floor buses).

  • Full accessible buses give citizens with mobility challenges the freedom to enjoy regularly scheduled public transportation services.

  • The cost of a new fully accessible bus is just under half a million dollars, and each bus weighs over 17 tons.

  • We also tell you about general guidelines when riding the bus, everything from bringing animals on the bus to using the rear door, and so much more.
